RECREATION LEVEL 4 - FLOOR
Rec 4 Floor brings together the skills and progressions developed throughout Rec 1–3 into recognizable, independent gymnastics and a complete floor routine. Athletes should focus on improved form, increased amplitude, controlled connections, confident presentation, and greater independence, demonstrating the ability to move from one skill to the next with minimal coach prompting.
Important Note: This is recreational gymnastics, not a compulsory routine. Athletes are not expected to perform with the precision or refinement of a competitive team gymnast. The goal is to see a clear progression from Rec 3, with athletes demonstrating straight arms and legs, pointed toes, recognizable gymnastics shapes, controlled landings, simple connections, and the confidence to remember and perform a short routine independently.
REC 4 FLOOR ROUTINE
This routine brings together the skills and progressions developed throughout Rec 1–4 into one complete floor routine. The skills do not need to be performed in the exact order shown in the training video. Coaches are encouraged to create different connections and sequences, but a complete Rec 4 routine should incorporate all of the skills developed throughout Rec 1–4. The goal is for athletes to demonstrate recognizable gymnastics with good form, controlled connections, improved presentation, and minimal coach prompting, showing that they can confidently put their individual skills together into a complete routine.
