RECREATION LEVEL 4 - VAULT
Rec 4 Vault brings together the fundamentals and progressions developed throughout Rec 1–3 into a complete Handstand Flatback. Athletes will focus on combining a powerful run, hurdle, springboard punch, handstand position, and block while developing greater speed, power, shoulder extension, and confidence toward a competition-style Handstand Flatback appropriate to the athlete.
FULL RUN → HURDLE → BOARD → HANDSTAND FLATBACK
Brings the complete vault sequence together into one continuous skill. Athletes focus on maintaining an accelerating run, effective hurdle and board punch, straight-arm Handstand position, and controlled Flatback landing.
HANDSTAND FLATBACK OVER VAULTING OBSTACLE / TRAINER
Develops confidence reaching the Handstand position while traveling over an appropriate vaulting obstacle or trainer. Athletes focus on straight arms, open shoulders, a tight body, and maintaining proper position as they move over the obstacle into the Flatback.
BACK DROP ROLL
Progresses the Rec 3 Back Drop by adding continued backward rotation after contacting the trampoline. Athletes focus on maintaining a tight body position, controlling the rotation, and moving smoothly through the skill.
FORWARD PEANUT ROLL
Introduces a controlled forward rolling action using a rounded body shape. Athletes focus on staying tight and rounded while maintaining control throughout the forward rotation.
